Assembly and fitting to a high standard is a specialised skill and at Keyford we have had many years experience in putting these skills into practice.

We have produced projects for customers in many industries including the food, automotive, aerospace, defence and nuclear sectors.

We are well versed in all aspects of assembly and know that things don't always go together quite as smoothly as the design engineer may have intended.

We have a huge knowledge and experience of these types of issues, spotting potential problems at an early stage and feeding back sound solutions to the customer. This minimises any project delays and ensures that workloads on customer design teams are minimised.

Project Management

Keyford also excel in the specialist area of complex and bespoke equipment production. The significant in-house capabilities of Keyford combined with our close associations with other specialist companies gives us the ability to manage and produce the most complex of projects for our customers.

Mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and computer engineering can be brought together with specialist finishing and processing services to provide the solution for any manufacturing project.

We offer our customers a single source and point of contact for all of their requirements. Taking the responsibility for the whole manufacturing project, we project manage all resources and deliver the completed equipment on time and ready to go.

This reduces the workload on customer procurement teams and allows the customer to place one order and manage one supplier replacing the need for multiple purchase orders to multiple suppliers, in turn eliminating many of the administrative issues associated with using multiple suppliers.

We have proven track record in this field, managing projects in many sectors from Nuclear Handling Equipment to Aircraft Ground Support Equipment through to Automated Processing Equipment for the automotive industry. Some examples of the projects we have produced have included:-

Automotive

Automated Inspection Equipment - Full manufacture, assembly and installation of equipment including bespoke software for the computer controlled actuators, motors and camera.

Cold Rolling Equipment - Full manufacture and assembly of large rolling equipment including installation of electrical control units.

Aircraft Ground Support Equipment

Helicopter Engine Hoist - Full manufacture and assembly of prototype lifting equipment. Liaising with design teams to overcome design issues and performing a functional test of the equipment before despatch.

Nuclear

Nuclear Handling Equipment - Full manufacture and build including high level quality and documentation management. Full materials testing and mill certificate traceability for every component along with complex weld specifications and testing.
