New Machining Centre Tops Year of Investment

Our latest machine expansion has seen the addition of a second LPM machining centre, which will add significant strength to Keyford’s machining portfolio.

An ideal fit for both our existing core business and the developing order books of newer customers, the new machine will work in tandem with our existing LPM, further improving productivity and efficiency on a host of operations within our busy milling section.

This follows a busy 18 months for Keyford which has seen capital investment top £160k.

This significant investment has been put to good use on a whole range of improvements including the latest machinery, improved software and inspection equipment, a revamp of our whole delivery fleet, re-organisation and optimisation of our main premises and a whole host of the smaller improvement activities which take place week on week.

We have been able to do this without impacting on our financial stability and whilst our performance to customers has remained at the highest level, the latter being borne out by our third SC21 Bronze Award on the trot.
